Christopher M. Chappel, M.D. | Board Certified
Dr. Chappel, a Board Certified Family Practice Physician, has been practicing medicine in Osceola County since 1982. He is the Principal Investigator for Chappel Group Research, as well as Medical Director of Chappel Senior Care for twenty Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities in the Central Florida Area. After graduating from Medical School at Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Chappel joined the U.S. Navy and completed his Residency at Naval Regional Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fl. He transferred to NARMC in Pensacola, FL to become a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine. In 1982, he left the Navy, relocated in Kissimmee and opened Family Practice Associates, which grew to be an extremely successful medical practice. In 1989 he expanded his practice to include FPA Clinical Research; which recently changed to Chappel Group Research. Since then, he has been continually conducting clinical trials.
Dr. Chappel is a speaker for McNeil, Johnson & Johnson, Acadia and Allergan. His knowledge and insight into the pharmaceutical field have proven to be extremely beneficial in the research arena, leading many established pharmaceutical companies to seek out Chappel Group Research for the conduct of their clinical trials.
In addition to being a well-respected and sought-after physician, Dr. Chappel is also a very accomplished athlete. He competed nationally in Triathlons for many years and was an All-American Triathlete. He finished the Hawaiian Ironman World Championship Triathlon six times.

Mr. Chappel is a valued member of the Chappel Group Research team. He received his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the College of Medicine at the University of Florida in 2008. He has been seeing patients in multiple Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities in Polk County for Chappel Senior Care in addition to his position as Sub-Investigator since 2008.
His caring attitude and extensive medical background make him invaluable to our clinical research team.

Mr. McCoy is an integral part of the Chappel Group Research team, having been a Sub-Investigator with Dr. Chappel since 1992. He is a Certified Physician’s Assistant who earned his Associate of Health Science degree from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Kettering, Ohio in 1991. After graduating, he relocated to Kissimmee and became a well-respected member of the Family Practice Associates team.
Mr. McCoy sees patients in five area nursing homes for Chappel Senior Care and is a well versed Sub-Investigator for Chappel Group Research. His knowledge of Clinical trials is paramount in making him a huge asset to our clinical research team.

Director Clinical Services/Lead Clinical Research Coordinator
Dr. Perez graduated Cum Laude from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He completed post graduate studies in Internal Medicine, OB/GYN services and Surgery as well as Pediatrics at Hospital Universitapia Jose Maria in Cabral y Baez , Dominican Republic prior to moving to Florida.
Dr. Perez has been conducting clinical research with Chappel Group Research since 2005, coming to us from Quest Laboratories. His hospital, medical lab and phlebotomy experience have proven to be invaluable in his positions of Director Clinical Services as well as Lead Clinical Research Coordinator. Dr. Perez is bi-lingual, being fluent in English as well as Spanish.

Clinical Research Coordinator
Dr. Rodriguez began her medical training at the Intramerican University in Cupey, Puerto Rico where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Medicine. From there she went on to Medical School and graduated from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
After medical school, Dr. Rodriguez worked in Family Medicine at Jose Maria Cabral y Baez Hospital in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Rodriguez has been a clinical research coordinator with Chappel Group Research since 2008. Her experience in Family Medicine has positioned her to be a great asset to our research team. Patients that have had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Rodriguez have been impressed not only by her quiet professionalism but by her never-ending caring attitude.

Director of Clinical Operations
Mrs. Albert is a Registered Pharmacist and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy when she graduated Cum Laude from Florida A & M University College of Pharmacy in Tallahassee. She has held positions in Corporate and Independent Retail Pharmacy as well as Hospital Pharmacy. Her past positions include Staff Pharmacist at Prescriptions Unlimited in St. Cloud, Director of Pharmacy Services for the Orlando/East Coast Division of Eckerd Drugs and Director of Pharmacy at Humana Hospital Lucerne in Orlando.
While at Humana Hospital Lucerne, Mrs. Albert chaired the hospital based Institutional Review Board which was responsible for all clinical research activities conducted at both the hospital as well as local physicians’ offices. Her varied professional and managerial experience as well as her extensive pharmaceutical background give her the tools needed to oversee the Operational activities of Chappel Group Research.
